Parineeta review
Cons: The story lacks substance, I mean at the core its a small tale of misunderstanding with very trite rich and poor characters. Saif plays a good rich man who is at first more of musician than business man and after a temporary heart break becomes hard businessman till he succumbs to getting married and discovers truth of his previous 'Parineeta'. Sunjay Dutt plays a good down to earth rich guy falling for Lolita and completing the good ol love triangle.

Pros: Sets, depiction of era, depiction of traditions, songs, music ... in summary the "art" content of the movie is good. Vidya Balan does good job with her role. She looks stunning throughout the movie, portrays beautiful, smart, responsible middle class girl. The director succeeds in his aim to make the country (or atleast me :) fall for his 'Parineeta'. Oh ya the character of rich businessman Naveen Rai is played nicely by the character (don't know his name), he succeds in making the audience hate him.

6/10 on a level with intl movies . A notch up with respect to run-of-the-mill hindi movies.
Finally a decent batman movie.
Cons:
  1. Miscasting, Liam Neesan as Ras Al Ghul (ras-ol-gulla :)just didn't feel creepy man. Recall Nicholson from Joker, this villan was no close to being devil's cousin.
  2. Movie feels like packed with stuff, u feel u have seen quite lot of things in the span of 2hr 10 mins.
Pros:
  1. The Gotham city set is just awesome. The train running atop and across the city wud be nice tourist attraction for gothan city.
  2. The "close to reality picture" of the comic hero has been rendered perfectly.
  3. Micheal Caine and Morgan Freeman are good in their cameos.
  4. Cillian Murphy (Dr. Crane) does justice to his role. I wud rather have had him be the main villan rahter than twisting it again to ras-o-gulla.
  5. The panic inducing chemical dispersed by a giant microwave which can vapourise water of entire city is a very creative weapon of destruction :).

Rating 6.5/10
